The COLA STEM Initiative was created to address the loss of afterschool programs and the resulting learning gaps in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) for underserved youth.
We provide hands-on, real world STEM learning experiences for children ages 4–14, helping them build confidence, creativity, and problem-solving skills that prepare them for future success.
Our mission is to inspire our youth to become standout leaders in their communities. Through participation in COLA STEM Initiative programs and events, students learn:
- Basic machine design and introductory programming
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Time management and project planning abilities
- Community involvement and leadership
